Carmelita’s is a family-owned Mexican restaurant created by Alberto and Carmen in 1962. Known for their community-driven roots and traditional Mexican cuisine, they became an established destination favorite in California

Their drive and work ethic paved the way for their lasting legacy.  After more than two decades of dedication, they passed the restaurant legacy down to their grandson.

EXPANSION TO TEXAS

In 2024, Carmelita’s expanded the restaurant family legacy to Cypress, Texas. Chayane is the first grandson to venture out of state fulfilling his dream to introduce the family’s recipes of mexican cuisine  & hand crafted margaritas to the locals of Cypress.
